All container conversions are carried out on our site in Upminster, Essex.
They are based on used shipping containers, manufactured from steel, aluminium, or G.R.P. They are ideal for conversion into any type of temporary or building site accommodation, providing very secure almost vandal proof units, highly recommended by insurance companies.
The most popular container lengths are 20' and 40' , but any length from 8' to 40' can be supplied after modification. The 8' width and 8' 6" height is standard on all containers.
Floors are usually hardwood or plywood 13' thick, supported on steel bearers at 12' centres. Access is provided by full width doors to one end and are approximately 8' high. Each door has two cam type locking rods giving excellent security. All units are wind and water tight.
The conversion of containers is carried out in accordance with customers' individual requirements. Based on considerable experience and expertise in this field, advice if required, can be given on the most appropriate type and size of container, and what the basic specifications should be, in order to be the most cost effective for the customer.
Once your exact needs have been agreed, you will be quoted the total cost of the completed conversion.
All materials used are of the best quality and a high standard of workmanship is employed throughout, with quality checks carried out at regular intervals during the conversion.
The conversion of containers can include windows, steel security shutters, internal lining, electrical fittings, e.g. light, heat and power points, plumbing for kitchens, showers and toilets, plus many others fittings, features and modifications.
