About Upminster Containers
Upminster Containers Ltd was established in 1968, originally repairing and converting containers for companies including P&O and Sea Containers; and with over 40 years in the container business, we are now one of the most experienced shipping container companies in the UK today. We pride ourselves on our customer service, encompassing attention to detail, communication, and the ability to meet and surpass customer expectations, providing the customer with their specific requirements.
We have a two acre site, which incorporates a large self-storage facility offering many different sizes of containers to accommodate any customer requirement, as well as a specialist container conversion workshop, enabling us to carry out all adaptations and conversions on our own site by our own highly skilled, and experienced engineers.

One of our four main business functions is to provide high quality, self-storage solutions to private, commercial and business customers. Our business offers a personal and flexible service that larger nationwide companies often fail to provide. In addition to this we remain highly competitive.
All our containers are 8" wide, 8'6" high, and in four standard lengths - 10', 15' (on top only), 20' and 40'. We also have self-storage containers in other lengths (example: 8', 12' and 30' etc).

Container Hire

We can provide a variety of containers to hire on your site at extremely competitive rates. Storage containers are normally 8' wide and 8'6" high and come in three standard lengths, 10'. 20' and 40'. We also have containers in other lengths (example: 10', 12', 15' and 30' etc).
We provide both new and refurbished containers, all of which are wind and water tight. They are painted dark green and are fitted with a 'lock box' for added security.
We can also provide offices, office/stores, chemical stores, canteens, mess rooms, welware units, site accommodation, changing rooms and various other specialised container conversions for short, medium and long term hire.
When hiring your container we can offer you free padlock and keys if required.

Prices vary according to the condition of individual boxes, for example, containers may be sold in the same condition in which they are bought, or they may be wire brushed, undercoated, top coated, provided with or without a lock box, etc. When purchasing your container we can offer you padlock and keys if required.
